Mackin FR-S at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2015
In 2015, Scion Racing returned to the infamous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This year’s car was the Mackin Industries Scion FR-S. Evasive Motorsports’ own Robert Walker piloted the Mackin Scion FR-S, which was specially rebuilt by Evasive Motorsports and GReddy Racing for the rigors in this challenging event. It was Evasive Motorsports’ 3rd year competing in the event, this year with Mackin’s vehicle.
Unfortunately, after a long week of enduring practice, the car’s engine gave out near the top of the peak on race day. It’s a shame, since data showed that it was on pace to take the fastest record by an FR-S at the event. It was the first year that we were unable to finish. But that’s how it goes in racing, and this is as unpredictable as it gets. Please enjoy the sights and sounds in this video as we tackled the infamous Pikes Peak. Determined as always, we vow to return with a vengeance. Until next year!
